Are you an entrepreneur looking for clean tech opportunities?

The NYSERDA funded Clean Energy Business Incubator Program (CEBIP), part of the Long Island High Tech Incubator located at Stony Brook University, is offering an exciting, informational, and transformational nine week program geared towards developing clean energy entrepreneurs who will be instrumental in bridging the current gap between innovation and commercialization.


Expected Program Schedule

The program will run from September 6, 2012 through October 31, 2012, consisting of seven classroom sessions being held weekly on the Stony Brook University campus, one field trip session touring several Long Island clean energy projects, with the final two sessions being held at the Advanced Energy Conference 2012 at the Jacobs Javits Center.


Who Should Attend:

This program is geared towards successful entrepreneurs who are looking to break into the exploding clean energy market. We are looking for experienced and business savvy professionals who are interested in learning about the future of clean energy and developing their own clean energy start-up company.


What Will You Learn?

This "Clean Energy Entrepreneurship Development Program" will not only provide detailed information on clean energy technologies and the associated markets, but also information on what you need to know to run a start-up technology businesses.  The curriculum will address topics such as:  funding opportunities, economic development, certifications and training, patents and intellectual property. Upon completion of the program, participants may be given access to existing clean energy technologies developed and licensed at Stony Brook University and Brookhaven National Labs.  Successful graduates of the program will be invited collaborate with University and Lab technologists to form a partnership with the end goal of taking these highly innovative and cutting edge clean energy technologies from the test bench to a commercialized product.


Application and Selective Process

This will be a highly selective process, with only 20 entrepreneurs being accepted to participate.  It will be a requirement that the selected individuals attend all sessions.  CEBIP is offering this comprehensive program at a cost of $300 (payable upon acceptance into the program), with the understanding that this is a 2 month commitment.  Please follow the link below to apply.
