Anil Dhundale, PhD

Dr. Dhundale is the Executive Director of the Long Island High Tech Incubator (LIHTI) and Executive Director for the CEBIP. He has responsibility for all of Stony Brook University’s business incubators, including; LIHTI, Calverton, CEWIT, and the AERTC. He joined the SBU Economic Development Group in this capacity in May 2008 reporting directly to Dr. Yacov Shamash, V.P. for Economic Development.

Prior experience includes a decade as the Scientific Director at the Center for Biotechnology at Stony Brook University where he became expert with early stage biotechnology commercialization. At a prior position in industry he gained experience working with a business start-up, a diagnostics and research product business where he was responsible for all aspects of a biotechnology business division within this company. The experience Dr. Dhundale brings is highly suited for recognizing early stage technology entrepreneurs, and Research Institute faculty inventors, and mentoring their needs.
